Basic Principles of Welfare and Self-Reliance

The welfare program of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints aims to care for those in need and help them become self-reliant. This booklet has four talks from a training in 2009 by President Thomas S. Monson, Elder Robert D. Hales, Bishop H. David Burton, and Julie B. Beck. It can help priesthood leaders and Relief Society presidencies apply the principles of self-reliance to their members’ situations.
